We want to start this Pause with a big THANK YOU to ALL who have been praying for Geraldine; we truly have been blessed by this.
The time since we came back from the brief visit to our ZEMA Home Office in Zion can perhaps be described as a bit of a blur. You will remember that there has been much uncertainty about us returning to Mocambique for the last opportunities of ministry for 2013. Well as it turned out, Richard returned to Maputo for two of the Saturdays and while we were able to have the ZEBS classes, it was quite evident that Mocambique remains a country uncertain as to what might happen next, but we were grateful to at least close off the Maputo ministry. Right now, our next scheduled visit into Mocambique is after the hot, wet months and so IF THE LOCAL FOLK feel it is quiet enough, we are due to return in March 2014.
Greetings from Nelspruit... the place we do our laundry!
We have just returned from a very blessed, although short, trip to our ZEMA Home Office. While in the USA, we were also able to make contact with some of our support team and we want to THANK all who were able to fit us in ! The main purpose of our going was to participate in the annual ZEMA Banquet which once again proved to be a real blessing. Greetings from Nelspruit where we have been delighted to have had a few days to rest and catch up with ourselves.
Pause to pray as we go into uncharted places. Some time back you might remember that we invited people to pray for one of the 140 districts of Mocambique, that the Lord would open doors for ministry among the amaZioni all over Mocambique. We also invited people to contribute financially to help us to get to some of these places. Well, MANY PRAYED and many are still praying and that really is a blessing. SOME GAVE, and this next visit is dedicated to taking what has been given and GOING TO THOSE DISTRICTS to seek to make contact with new Zion congregations.
Greetings from a warm Nelspruit. We're pretty well over the winter I think and the days are certainly pointing to a really warm Spring and Summer.
HOW TIME FLIES, normally 'when you're having fun' is added to that, and while some of what we have been through was fun, the past month or so was not always 'fun'. LOOKING BACK:
The last 11 months have passed like a blur. It started with us meeting together with all the other ZEMA missionaries at our Annual Conference in January. We left from there to travel through the Eastern and Western Cape, via the Free State and Gauteng as we began this year of 'deputation and reporting back'.
Greetings again from Zion Illinois. We've reached that time of the year when it is about as cold here as it ever gets in Nelspruit......but we know it's going to get colder !!! Fortunately the WARMTH of the welcome we receive each time we meet with people is a real blessing to us ! We have ALSO reached that point in this trip where we are more than halfway through and as much as we are blessed here, we ARE looking forward to being back in South Africa and Mocambique ! We have had news from Christopher, Gregory and Naomi and ALL IS WELL for which we are truly grateful.
