Greetings from a warm Nelspruit. We're pretty well over the winter I think and the days are certainly pointing to a really warm Spring and Summer. After we have been in Mocambique on one of our trips, the 'usual plan' is for us to get some rest, re-prepare and go again, but there are sometimes when it seems that much of our 'in=between' times are spent on 'running repairs' ... either on the caravan, or the vehicle, or our bodies ! THIS TIME it has been the vehicle ... a 'funny knock' led to new universal joints on the prop shaft, an extra leaf being added to the rear suspension and the gearbox being taken apart and ... well, we 're not sure yet - it's still in the workshop ... AND we're due in Maputo tomorrow (Saturday).
So we'd ask you to pray that we get the car back today and can make the class in Maputo tomorrow but we also GIVE THANKS to all those who faithfully support us with financial gifts. It is a REAL BLESSING to be able to get these repairs done knowing that there are funds available because of those who support us. The last trip had many 'incidents' along the way that help us remember how Faithful God is and how much we need to lean on Him. From having to join a police convoy between the Save River and Muxungue where there is continued 'rebel activity', to having a Customs Official threaten us with a MT5000 fine because HE FELT that our Temporary Import Permit had a mistake on it (he eventually let us go after dropping the bribe to a can of coke which we declined to give him), to getting stuck in the sand twice on the way to Morrumbene .......it was quite eventful. But put those against the fact that
AHEAD: Tomorrow (Saturday 17th) a ZEBS class in Maputo. On the following FRIDAY and SATURDAY we have one of the most exciting weekends of ministry when all of the ZEBS teachers from all of the different areas come together at Sunbury for a weekend of fellowship and teaching. We're expecting about 39 people ! It is AMAZING how God is using the men and women to teach the Bible to Zion leaders all over the country, as well as in our neighbouring countries. Please pray as we prepare for this that the program might be a real blessing to all who come. Every Blessing, Richard and Geraldine
