We believe in "The priesthood of all believers, by which we understand that each Christian has direct access to God through Christ our High Priest, and shares with Him in His work of reconciliation."
Speaking to God by praying is something all believers can do. There are, however, those who have an ability to pray with greater discernment and intercession, a strength possessed by many in our congregation. As a church, we encourage and support this group of prayer warriors as best we can to use and grow in this special gift from God.
There are regular weekly prayer meetings held at the church on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays. The focus of these prayer meetings is both for the community around us as well as our church family and ministry.
Periodically we hold times of special intercession on behalf of the church and the congregation, placing our needs and our praise before God, called corporate prayer. Corporate prayer is probably one of the most neglected and misunderstood forms of prayer we find described in the Bible. Usually when Christians get together to pray, a whole array of prayers are offered by each individual instead of the group simply bringing a few focused prayers in complete unison before the Lord. Despite some of the misconceptions that exist, proper corporate prayer is extremely powerful when we truly appreciate its value and perform it correctly.
