Weekly Prayer Letter

My goal in giving you this order is for love to flow from a pure heart, from a clear conscience, and from a sincere faith. - 1Timothy 1:5

Missions

• Vivienne Moses (India) is recovering from her recent operation in India. Please pray for her and Ed.
• Brian and Lorraine Milner continue to produce DVD’s for childrtens’ evangelism. Please remember them in your prayers.
• Today, Sydney Davis is flying out of the US for a 30-day mission outreach. She will be with two other young adults using art as a bridge for connections in Gaelic speaking villages. They will have a week of training and three weeks of hiking and ministry!

CBC Family

When you pray for our church family, why not contact them – either phone call, sms, email etc – and let them know that they have been in your thoughts and prayers. This will be a great encouragement to all.

• Kay Davison is not well. It is thought that she has had a slight stroke.
• Lee-Ann Teale will be with her mother in Upington till the 30th July. She appreciates the prayers and messages of concern that have been sent to her.  
• Michael Fourie left for Australia on Thursday. He is grateful for the visa that came through on time.
• Megan Landry and Robert Cloete, both had their wisdom teeth out this week.
• Murray and Candace Crawford are thankful that Murray has been given a spousal visa so he can join Candace in the States.  They leave on the 23rd July.
• Congratulations to the Davis family – Gail for achieving her Masters in Theology. Simeon for being selected for the National Schools Jazz Band as a Sax Player.
• Pray for CBC family who are overseas –Peter and Barbie Anderson (UK/USA). Ra Lennox UK), Emily Joubert (UK.)

CBC Ministries

• Please pray for the call committee as we consider the position of youth Pastor for 2015 and beyond. The 2nd meeting is scheduled for Tuesday 15th.
  
• We are needing more musicians for the worship teams. Please pray about this and contact Cathryn Lennox for more details.

Denominational

• Rev Ron Hendricks passed away on Wednesday morning. Ron is a much loved retired Pastor in the Western Cape. He was also a past president of the BU. Please do be in prayer for his wife Marlene and their family.
  
• All Africa Bapstist Youth Fellowship: 130 delegates from 12 African countries -  (Angola, Cameroon, Ghana, Liberia, Namibia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, South Africa, South Sudan, Togo, Zambia and Zimbabwe) met at the Baptist Union Training Centre for their youth congress from 2-6 July. A great ethos prevailed and new friendships and partnerships were established amongst the youth. Do pray for the ministry to the youth of Africa.
