But since I was worse than anyone else, God had mercy on me and let me be an example of the endless patience of Christ Jesus. He did this so that others would put their faith in Christ and have eternal life. -1 Timothy 1:16 We praise God for a wonderful week end away. All who were there experienced a blessing from God with wonderful fellowship, inspiring worship and practical and relevant teaching. Missions
We do want to thank the Church for the very generous and welcome donation. God’s timing is so perfect. Phyllis has to get new spectacles this week and we just did not have sufficient money to pay for them and now we will be able to manage quite comfortably…. In that Selwyn has turned 80 he has had to face the fact that the prisons will not accept him as an official Spiritual worker. They have, however invited him to continue his ministry at the local Prison on a voluntary basis but they will no longer be paying for travelling and the small ministry allowance.” They are also contemplating whether it is time to move into a retirement complex but there are first of all big decisions to make. CBC Family When you pray for our church family, why not contact them – either phone call, sms, email etc – and let them know that they have been in your thoughts and prayers. This will be a great encouragement to all.
CBC Ministries We thank the Lord for our week end away. It was a great blessing to all who were there and we praise the Lord for his goodness to us. I know that the Lord touched many of us in ways that will change us for good. A big thank you to all who contributed to enabling this time to happen. The church quarterly meeting on Tuesday took a number of important decisions. We appointed Emelia Ellappen in place of Robert Dau as the financial controller. Robert asked to be relieved of this responsibility and we are grateful to Emelia for taking this up. Please pray for her. We also owe Robert a big debt of gratitude for the enormous contribution he has made in this field. Further, the church appointed a call committee to search for a new youth pastor. The first meeting will be next Tuesday evening. Denominational
