Missions

Lorna Bucklow is now full time at BI where she does some lecturing as well as being the principal’s PA. She is also the dean of women students and plays a very important role as a mentor to the women training for ministry at BI. She has to raise her own support and does not yet have sufficient funds for her income. Please pray for her.
Sydney Davis is planning to join other young people in a missions trip to Ireland in July/August for 30 days. They plan to walk across Ireland painting, drawing and photographing as a means of contacting people and sharing Chrsit with them.

Fritz Meissner’s father passed away yesterday afternoon. Please be in prayer for him and the family.
We have heard that Lynette Schaefer has passed. She had cancer. Lynette was sent out as a missionary from this church in the 1970’s and has been involved with children’s ministry ever since - even long after - her retirement. The memorial service is at 11 am at Strand Baptist on Friday 21st Feb.
Virginia Michaels has developed a severe hearing problem and asks that we pray for her healing.
Rowan Ellapen has been employed - Praise the Lord.
Continue to pray for Paul Erickson (recovering from surgery)) Bill Starnes (lung cancer.) Matt Lennox (needs employment)
Pray for cbc family who are overseas – Loretta Daniels (India), Maudie Nel (USA), Ra Lennox is safely hone.

It was a wonderful service on Sunday evening. We thank the Lord for the testimonies of those baptised. Do continue to pray for them - Lollo Shaked, Taryn Joubert, Ashleigh Joubert, Melissa Russouw, Laura van Rensburg, Liam Landsberg, Stuart Warren, Dean Botha, Nathan Parker.
The prayer supper on Tuesday was a very inspiring time as the Lord challenged us to pray for spiritual needs.
There is a new notice board in the foyer titled “Service opportunities.” Please look and see if there are any opportunities that you feel God is calling you into.
Fellowship events next week - The birthday bash for Jan and Feb birthdays is next Friday evening – more more info contact Sue; Mens hike up table mountain from Constantia Nek is next Sat (22nd) All men are invited (you do need a degree of fitness) Meet at the church at 6.00am. or at Constantia Nek at 6.15am.

Pray for the families of our church and the communities in which we live. Many marriages have high levels of dissatisfaction, Pray that God would intervene in our lives in such a way that we will see many marriages healed and restored.
