Missions and Evangelism

Outreach

• We give thanks that there were over 30 at the Ladies meeting (WOW) last Friday.
• The Thankoffering fund will be going towards helping Rev Ben Smith get to the Richtersveld towns to plant churches. This now stands at over R10 000!

Missionaries

• Selwyn and Phyllis Kettles write: “Thanks to those who have prayed for us, and the ministry entrusted to us, – not forgetting those who have very graciously supported us financially. We are so grateful for all the financial and prayer support which enables us to continue.” Despite their age, they continue with their Prayer Room and Prison Ministry. Church People and Ministries

People     

• Congratulations to Eric and Sue le Roux on the birth of their 14th grandchild – Matthew Brodrick
• Congratulations to Tiffy Brodrick on his engagement to Jessica Kew. Do pray for them as they prepare for their wedding in June next year.
• The CTBS graduation ceremony will be on Saturday the 23rd of November. Joey Prince will be graduating. Congratulations to him. Joey will be going home to East London on Sunday and then in December leaves to further his studies in the USA.
• Sheraya Ericson and Christopher Teale have finished their matric exams and are officially school leavers! Congratulations. They now wait anxiously for the results to come out.
• Welcome back to Annette Miller from her visit to family in Australia.
• Pray for Gail Davis’s father who is once again having problems with his heart.
• John and Faith Leslie will be moving to Sherwood House in Kenilworth at the end of November. They have lived their entire married life in their house in Cook Rd., so this is a huge move for them.

Ministry

• Do pray that the Thanksgiving month of November will not only raise a good amount for the mission to Richtersveld but also encourage us all to have a heart of thankfulness for all the Lord has done. Remember that what we give in a moment can last for a lifetime!
• There is an important church meeting on Tuesday night 26th Nov.
• The last Birthday Bash for the year is on Friday 29th Nov. all those who have birthdays in November. December are invited. If you have not yet received your invite and your birthday qualifies you, please contact Sue le Roux.
• The Sunday School Christmas party is on Sat 30th Nov. at 4.00 to 5.00pm

Denominational

• Pray for the President of the Baptist Union, Rev. Deon Malan, as he travels around the country visiting churches and attending to denominational matters.
• We have been asked to pray earnestly that the BU will be able to meet its financial commitments by the end of the year.

Our Societal Needs

Pray for the people still suffering after the floods of last weekend.

Sunday Services - 24 November

November is our thanksgiving month. Join us for both services and share in the fellowship and coffee and tea.

9.30am “The wisdom from Proverbs on Leadership.” Peter Smallbones will be the preacher. There will be a time in the service for testimonies.
6.00pm Rob Swan will be the preacher. The message will be from Romans 8.
