Missions and Evangelism

Outreach

• Pray for the ladies WOW meeting on the 15th Nov and for those unchurched who will be invited.
• The Thankoffering fund will be going towards helping Rev Ben Smith get to the Richtersveld towns to plant churches.

Missionaries:

• Because of the possible violence in Mozambique, Richard Akers drastically curtailed his missions trip to just around Maputo. He is now home.
  

Church People and Ministries

People

• Last Sunday morning we heard just how God has blessed so many in our congregation. We can indeed be thankful and encouraged.
• Congratulations to Rob Swan on his graduation with a B.Th. degree at the BI graduation service last night. Rob also won the prize for Old Testament Studies (including Hebrew) and the Principal's Award (which Lorna won last year) for the student chosen by the BI Principal for leadership, Christian maturity and service to the College.  Next year, Rob will be doing his honours at CTBS.
• Congratulations to Lorna Bucklow on her graduation with a Bth Honours degree at the BI graduation service last night. Next year Lorna will be on staff at the bible Institute. 
• The CTBS graduation ceremony will be on Saturday, the 23rd of Novermber. Joey Prince will be graduating. Congratulations to him. Joey will be going home to East London on Sunday and then in December leaves to further his studies in the USA.
• William McPetrie is now doing a lot better but still needs prayer.
• Maudie Nel leaves this Sunday to visit her daughter Loren in Florida, USA.
• Sheraya Ericson and Christopher Teale are writing matric.

Ministry

• Do pray that the Thanksgiving month of November will not only raise a good amount for the mission to Richtersveld but also encourage us all to have a heart of thankfulness for all the Lord has done. Remember that what we give in a moment can last for a lifetime!
• The Trustees meet on Tuesday evening.
• The Church quarterly meeting is on the 16th November.

Denominational

• The  next WPBA Council meeting will be held this Tuesday, 12th November, in the Parrow ABK church.

Our Societal Needs

Pray for the people of the Philippines ravaged by this huge typhoon.

Sunday Services - 17 November

November is our thanksgiving month

Join us for both services and share in the fellowship and coffee and tea.

9.30am This service will have focus on thankfulness for the sacrificial death of Christ. This will be a communion service.  Peter Smallbones is the preacher. Proverbs 17:17 and John 15:12-15.

6.00pm Joey Prince. This will be Joey’s last service with us. There will be a special tea after the service.
