Mission and Evangelism

Outreach

• Pray for the ladies WOW meeting on the 15th of November and for those unchurched people who will be invited.

Missionaries

• Ed Moses writes  “Please continue to pray as we plan and prepare for the Christmas and New Year season. These are opportune moments for the Gospel – so pray for the Lord’s leading as we seek to do something different. • Richard Akers is due to go back to Mozambique this week. Because of the breakdown of the peace accord between Renamo and the Frelimo government, he has been advised to curtail his visit to Maputo and Vilenkulu. He asks for special prayer for safety for this trip. For further info, go here.

Church People and Ministries

People

• Dr. Gordon Miller is preaching at Somerset West this Sunday. Their pastor, Pastor Dennis Loots’ son has broken his leg in an accident in South Korea and Dennis has gone out to South Korea to see him.
• David Green has been in hospital this week for observation.
• Joan Kotze is thankful for good health again.
• William McPetrie will be having more tests on Wednesday. Do pray for him.
• Loretta Daniels leaves this Sunday for Europe and India. She will be away for three months.
• Maudie Nel leaves next Sunday to visit her daughter Loren in Florida, USA.
• Sheraya Ericson and Christopher Teale are writing matric.

Ministry

• The Pulse Dinner Shindig was a great event with over 90 attending, including many parents who don’t normally come to church. They also were able to raise a substantial amount towards their Summer Camp fees.
• Do pray that the Thanksgiving Month of November will not only raise a good amount for the mission to Richtersveld but also encourage us all to have a heart of thankfulness for all the Lord has done. Remember that what we give in a moment can last for a lifetime!

Denominational

• The  next WPBA Council Meeting will be held this Tuesday, 12th November, in the Parow ABK church.

Our Societal Needs

This week-end is registration for voting. I believe it is important to vote, and we need to be registered.

Sunday Services - 10 November

November is our Thanksgiving Month

Join us for both services and share in the fellowship and coffee and tea.
9.30am This service will have focus on thankfulness. There will be an opportunity for giving testimonies of God’s goodness. Peter Smallbones is the preacher.
6.00pm Ronnie Davis will be the preacher.
