Weekly Prayer Letter

Finally, everyone must live in harmony, be sympathetic, love each other, have compassion, and be humble. - 1 Peter 3:8 

I am sorry that there has been no prayer letter the last few months. First my computer was stolen and then I was at Rooiwal and then I have not been well. We do appreciate all your prayers for me. Apart from a set back 2 weeks ago I am feeling somewhat better and there seems to be a steady improvement. I am thankful that there is no damage to the heart.

Mission and Evangelism

Rooiwal: 
We are thankful for all the warm clothing given to Rooiwal. Sunday morning is the cut-off date to bring as it has been sorted and delivered to the people who will transport it to Rooiwal. They told me that it will arrive on Monday. Because of the great response. Do remember that we do take clothing and blankets for distribution to people other than Rooiwal and it may be difficult to get another load up there before the cold weather changes. If you have warm clothes you do not need, do bring them and we will do our best to distribute them where needed.

Back To Church Sunday:
Go to the Facebook [event]- http://www.facebook.com/events/185974971576753/ Invite your friends to the event. This is scheduled for 1 September. Pray that this “Spring day” will be the start of a spiritual revival in Claremont and surrounds.   The theme [in the morning service] will be “The triumph of  faith!" Pray for those whom you could share Christ with and invite to a service. To sign up for involvement see the list that is on the table in the foyer

Good morning,
I would like to thank the Church for the prayer and support for my weeding to Immaculee. I am grateful for everything and may God almighty bless you. I also thank God for passing all my subjects at school last semester. However I am still have a prayer request for my wife Immaculee who is still not feeling well and her papers not yet in order. I also need prayer for the second semester to be strong enough to study hard.

        12-19 August - week in Nashville Tennessee with Dr Rodney Taylor incl preaching at the "Fellowship of Faith Life Group" of Brentwood BC on Sunday morning 18 August.
        25 August - visit friends at Shelby BC morning service (where Ryan, Andrew Faure & myself stayed for 6 months in 1999) & evening service Mount Zion Baptist Church  Monroe

Ministry

• We are needing people to help with our poverty relief programme. This includes the food and clothing distribution. We need a group of people who feel called by God to help develop this ministry – includes planning, buying, packaging and distribution of food, sorting out clothing and its distribution. Please pray and ask the Lord if you should be involved in this. Sheila and Brenda are wanting to retire at the end of the year.
• The prayer supper is on Tuesday this week.
• Vision has grown to nearly 20 children and Joey is needing helpers with teaching and organising.
