Dear all our lovely friends and family, Candace and Murray are now back in Cape Town for a few weeks, after being part of the Mercy Vision team in the Eastern Cape. We were there for three weeks and were involved with cleaning and setting up the eye surgical unit. Once the surgeries started, Murray was involved with transportation and administration, while Candace worked as a nurse in the pre-ops room, helping ensure patients were medically fit and ready for their surgeries. It was awesome to see over fifty people, who were once blind or partially-sighted, regain their sight! It was a privilege to be part of the team! The plan is for us to return to Zithulele in April to continue working alongside the eye team. As stated previously, we are now back in Cape Town and have had quite a busy last ten days. We received some fantastic news last week. We visited Home Affairs to enquire about our corrected Unabridged Marriage Certificate last week, and, praise God, the document had arrived and was ready for us! This was one of the most important documents needed prior to us starting our US spousal visa process, so is a huge answer to prayer. We have been back at Home Affairs to apply for an Unabridged Birth Certificate for Murray - which is needed later in the application process - so please also pray for this to come speedily!
Candace and Murray both cycled the Cape Argus Pick 'n Pay Cycle Tour, the world's largest individually-timed event, this past weekend! Over 35,000 cyclists and their supporters flock to Cape Town to take in the breathtaking views around the Cape Peninsula every March. We started and rode the whole route together, finishing the 110 kms (68 miles) in 5 hrs 45 mins. It was Murray's 23rd tour, and Candace was very excited to finish her first tour - although the jury is out on whether she will cycle it again next year! :-) Both of us are excited for Candace's parents and her sister to visit us next weekend! We are looking forward to showing them many sights and sounds of Cape Town! Please pray for us with regard to the following points:
Much love and God bless, Murray & Candace

Murray and Candace Crawford
Murray joined the Africa Mercy 3 years ago - first for one year and then for a longer term. This has enabled him to fulfill two of his desires - to make Jesus known to those in need and to be at sea on board ship. He loves servicing Christ. On 4 March 2012 he married Candace Miller whom he met on board and they will continue to serve the Lord together. Archives
