Milner's Memo - December 2013

Dear Friends,

Greetings to you all in our wonderful Saviour’s Name.

As we will soon be celebrating the miraculous birth of our Saviour, let us ponder on His name.

Matthew 1 v 21 says: You are to give Him the name “Jesus” because He will save His people from their sins, and in verse 23 it says: They will call Him “Immanuel” which means God with us.

We marvel again that God sent Jesus into the world as a baby to be our “Immanuel.”  We know later that Jesus died on the cross to show His unfailing love to each of us and by redeeming us from all our sins. We as believers can rejoice in our full redemption and live in hope of heaven where we will see Jesus face to face, in His glory, when that day dawns.

We have had a hard year this year, especially with the death of our daughter, Charmaine, in April, but the Lord has comforted us and helped us all along the way. We give Him all the praise and glory.

Her house and flat are in the last stages of being sold, which will take a heavy burden off our shoulders. This we are trusting will bring in sufficient money to just cover her debts.

We really do miss her and especially at this Christmas time, as it will be the first one without her here.

In June the Lord gave us another granddaughter, Anastasia, (born to Andrew and Christy), who has brought us much joy already.

We praise the Lord for enabling us to continue making DVDs for outreach to young children, using puppets, to teach the Bible lessons and the Good News of the Gospel. Quite a lot of people have been ordering the DVDs, some have been sent to different parts of South Africa, while others have gone overseas. Pray that each DVD will help children to come to know Jesus as their personal Saviour, while they are still young.

We have some exciting concepts for our DVDs for next year. We would like to produce ones with which the children can interact themselves. We look forward to seeing how God leads us.

May you know God’s presence and guidance through 2014.  As you are part of our team we want to express our thanks and appreciation for your prayers and support over this past year – which has enabled us to continue in our media ministry, for God’s glory and praise.
