Dear Friends and Partners in spreading the Good News of Jesus to children, We are reminded again that Jesus became Man so that He could redeem us and give us Eternal Life, when we believed on Him and received His wonderful gift. Matthew 1:21 is so powerful: “She will give birth to a son and you are to give Him the Name Jesus, because He will save His people from their sins.” Hallelujah, What a Saviour! He became our wonderful Redeemer and Lord in whom we will rejoice for ever. Our puppets, Peter, Joy and Billy, are keen to do the next 2 lessons for the DVD we are presently recording. Brian is researching out ways and programs to improve his filming all the time. We need to get music and the singing of songs off the internet, (which are in public domain.) May we continue to know God’s will for our ministry during 2013. We will also need guidance as to whom we should advertise this DVD so that children who have not heard the Gospel message will be able to come to know the wonderful story of salvation.
God enabled us to have a much needed break in November. We visited Dale, Madge and grandchildren in Kuruman, despite our car’s engine being severely damaged by the fan-belt breaking up and then causing the cam-belt to slip and destroying the cylinder head. We were only 56kms. from home! We got help to get our car to the nearest VW garage in Malmesbury. We left the car there and got a lift home and then at 6.15pm we caught the bus to Kuruman. It was a very comfortable trip although long, 17hours! Kuruman is very hot so having an air-con was the answer, if the electricity works!! We had to drink a lot more water to stop ourselves from getting dehydrated. We helped Dale re-construct a wendy-house for Hannah and Rebekah to play in. Lorraine helped Madge by sewing new lounge and dining-room curtains for her. Our granddaughters go to an Afrikaans Pre-school which they really enjoy and they are learning songs and they say a grace before their food, in Afrikaans. Jonathan crawls everywhere! He turned 9 months old while we were visiting. Any day now he will be taking his first step to walking. He loves being with his dad when he is home and watching him do things in the workshop. Please pray that they will make Christian friends for fellowship and get to know people from the English church in the town. After catching the bus back to Cape Town we fetched our car, which had been fixed at an enormous price. After a few days we made a quick trip to see Brian’s mother and step-dad in Port Alfred. Brian’s mom was getting ready to have open heart surgery. She turns 86 years old in a weeks time. She had her operation on Friday 30 November and have heard that the doctor was happy with the procedure and he replaced a valve in her heart. She had a slight stroke after the operation but now she is moving her left arm and she is talking again. Please pray that she will recover steadily. Charmaine had to stop her Chemo treatment as the medical aid has stopped their funding. She had a scan and tests today (3/12/12) but the results are not good. Her cancer has spread to the lymph glands again and she has 2 growths, increasing in size on her liver. She will have to decide what her next step will be.Please continue to pray for her especially at this time of uncertainty. We continue to trust God for a miracle in her life. Her life is very busy at work plus trips to JHB and Durban, quite often. We have good news that Andrew and Christy are expecting their first child in June 2013, God willing. We are so excited for them and wait in anticipation. Many thanks to all who have supported us during this year. May God richly bless you as He knows best. We also greatly value all those who have prayed for us as a family and for our media ministry. You are part of our ministry team and we can’t do without your support and encouragement. God bless you all as we rejoice at the birth of our Saviour and Redeemer this Christmas. Yours together in His service, Brian and Lorraine Milner, and family.

Brian and Lorraine MilnerAfter both completing their studies at the Bible Institute, Kalk Bay, Brian & Lorraine joined Africa Evangelical Fellowship in 1974. They ministered for 11 years in the Christian Ministry to Miners. Then they had a short time in Child Evangelism Fellowship and went on to minister in Scripture Union for 13 years. After that they returned to AEF at the time that it merged with SIM. They served in the SIM (Serving in Mission) sending office for 6 years and then God called them to start a media ministry, with SIM Ethnic Focus, producing DVD media for outreach and teaching purposes. They have produced media for adults, adolescents and older children up to now. Their next project which they are developing is outreach and teaching for young children. They plan to use puppets telling the Gospel lessons. They will be filming an accomplished puppeteer and children's worker. Archives
