Our vision

PEOPLE CHANGING PEOPLE INTO BEING THE BEST THEY CAN BE IN CHRIST

WHO WE ARE

We are a group of believers and we aim also to be a loving crowd of friends.  We believe that we should pursue intimacy with God, who is the central member and leader of our crowd and our lives.  We believe that His holy spirit uses each one of us to change each other into being the best that we can be in Christ.

As can be seen by our vision statement, our youth ministry exists for God to use us to change one another to be the best for Him. This involves taking people from a place of brokenness to being released into service.  No one person is responsible for changing people, we all are, because we are all in this together! 

Our ministries are: 

T.I.L.T. on a Friday night

        19:45 - 22:30

          Purpose: To provide people with a gateway into the church

We realise that we do not have the resources to compete with the world on an entertainment level, so Friday exists as another place where people can come and KNOW that they will be accepted.  Our programmes are mainly social, but often with worship.  We also place a high emphasis on community involvement and go on outreach evenings.  We believe this gives non-Christians a REAL picture of what following Jesus is about, instead of trying to sell them God with a couple of pancakes and a few silly games.

Other stuff:

 “In a Nutshell” Bible School

        Holidays - at least once a year

          Purpose: To discover who God is, and who we are in Him.

This is a bible school we run in which we explore what the Bible says about God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit.  We explore how the Bible was put together, why and how it should be read, as well as how one can serve in the church.  It also is a place where people can dispel incorrect assumptions they had about God and the Christian faith.

Missions

Although this is an area which has been neglected, many of our youth have been to Umtata on the church mission trip and have come back changed for life.  We aim to have at least one youth mission next year.
