Looking forward (2013)
I can’t always share “wow” moments like the Christmas outreach, or report about children coming to know the Lord. These days much of my ministry happens behind the scenes, like research for articles; preparation of lessons; translations and sowing seed into people’s lives. It’s hard sometimes to keep motivated, but with my support group (we try and meet once a week), they trust God with me that the seeds sown will yield a plentiful harvest.
Thank you for continuing to pray for and support me. God encourages me through your thoughtfulness, prayers and encouragement. I am so glad to know that He promises to bless those who are obedient to Him. I have few words to say and not much to do in return for what you mean to me. I can only pray that He will pour out His blessings on you. Just know I appreciate you and need your support! I honour God for always being faithful, but like many others I do struggle financially. I am not on a pension scheme and have fewer supporters now. Please allow me once again to make my need known and ask you to trust God with me for more financial support.
Sorry about not hearing from me. Just when I wanted to get to write a sort of newsletter I got Bronchitis. I took a while to recover from that.
I had hardly stopped coughing when I got Laryngitis. I am in the last stages of coughing—have a bout of coughing about once a day. As they say it never rains but it pours!
I am thankful to the Lord for His mercy and grace and that He continues his healing in my life physically. I continue to trust Him for complete healing.
Lynette was a member of CBC and attended Glenvar Bible College in 1968-69. She was sent out from CBC and served with the AEB for 6 years and then spent 30 years with Child Evangelism Fellowship. Her great concern was helping new Christian children grow in their faith. She then moved into training Children’s Workers. She then worked on her own with Churches and organisations to train and share her expertise with others. She also does translation of Sunday School material into Afrikaans. Lynette praises the Lord for her good health after open heart surgery 4years ago. and is so grateful for God’s gracious provision for the payment of her flat. She now does not do much training as she feels she needs to watch her health and concentrates on translating materials from English to Afrikaans and visa-versa.
